Description

Job Purpose:  

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer - Converged Charging to lead new system implementations, ensuring both immediate and long-term operational success. The ideal candidate will manage operational resources and coordinate with various Business Units (BUs) including Fixed, Mobile, Global, DTV, and Broadband to address new business requirements. You will represent the Online Charging System (OCS) in discussions to ensure optimal and feasible solutions are selected. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead and manage high-priority new module implementations and urgent service implementations during disaster situations, ensuring fast and effective outcomes for Mobile, Fixed, DTV, and Global services.  

  • Address day-to-day customer and system issues, providing immediate fixes and proactive measures to prevent recurrence.  

  • Implement system modernization initiatives and maintain an optimal IT blueprint.  

  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve C1 system issues, developing plans for patches and change requests (CRs) while ensuring zero impact on ongoing business operations.  

  • Support Dialog Core Projects, including CBS (rating and billing) upgrades, VoMS/Ez upgrades, and new system implementations aligned with the latest trends in telecommunications and IT.  

  • Oversee the implementation and governance of VOMS, Rapidez, and Onewallet systems for new BU requirements.  

  • Contribute to divisional cloudification initiatives to modernize existing applications and streamline integrations.  

  • Manage the overall implementation and operations of OCS 5.6 dump generation and the digital recharge card system.  

  • Lead end-to-end feasibility checks for new products and services launched by Dialog, focusing on charging aspects.  

  • Manage tariff and product implementation for all relevant BU requirements, ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs and organizational targets to drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience.  

  • Oversee the product launch lifecycle, ensuring all approvals, documentation, and security aspects are adequately addressed for audit compliance.  

  • Manage the security of all products in line with group security guidelines, providing strategic feedback on OCS and related charging systems for both BP and non-BP projects.  

  • Define the scope and architecture for OCS/core rating and charging system projects, ensuring timely delivery with minimal business impact.  

  • Lead projects under charging systems, ensuring quality and timely delivery while optimizing the blueprint through module upgrades and replacements.  

  • Develop and maintain the AlarmViewer2.0 application for peripheral monitoring used by the NOC.  

  • Manage new script development for monitoring aligned with new service launches to minimize service interruptions.  

  • Oversee the C1 dashboard for monitoring all C1 systems at Dialog, providing consultancy to improve operational excellence.  

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to keep divisional members updated on systems, processes, and responsibilities.  

  • Coordinate with HR and relevant entities to arrange necessary training for staff to enhance their knowledge and skill sets.  

  • Evaluate and adapt new technologies such as RPA, AI, Cloud, and Containerization to optimize resource utilization and overcome existing challenges. 

Entry Requirements

The Person:  

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field 

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in a similar role. 

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications technologies related to 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.  

  • In-depth knowledge of charging systems and relevant concepts and technologies.  

  • Familiarity with IT trends and their applicability in the telecommunications sector.  

  • Comprehensive understanding of Dialog's service blueprint, network architecture, business strategies, and billing processes.  

  • Experience in tariff, rating, and quota implementation across Mobile, DTV, Fixed, and Broadband streams.  

  • Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle and current C1 systems within Dialog's blueprint.
