Description

Job Purpose:  

We are seeking a dedicated Engineer for our BSS Operations team. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall technical operation of our charging and billing systems. This role involves level one incident management, level two problem analysis and management, and backend operations, including system health checks and process execution. You will provide regular status updates to management and implement new products and tariffs for GSM prepaid and post-paid, DTV prepaid, and CDMA prepaid bases, ensuring optimal solutions to meet business unit requirements. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Manage the technical operations of charging and billing systems, ensuring efficient incident management and problem resolution. 

  • Conduct system health checks and execute daily and weekly processes, providing regular updates to management. 

  • Implement new products and tariffs in the system based on business requirements, ensuring alignment with operational needs. 

  • Identify root causes of customer complaints and system issues, taking preventive actions to minimize customer impact. 

  • Participate in system upgrades and operations, including VOMS, to enhance capacity and implement new business requirements. 

  • Support other divisions during system upgrade tests, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. 

  • Ensure timely resolution of complaints/issues related to campaigns, maintaining expected service levels. 

  • Maintain data integrity and reliability of charging and billing systems and related applications. 

  • Manage and track incidents to successful closure, ensuring compliance with agreed timelines. 

  • Provide regular management updates on SLA achievements, including target and breaching reports. 

  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand issues and provide accurate, workable solutions. 

  • Monitor application performance and provide backend support, including data analysis and third-party integration checks. 

  • Collaborate with L3 support teams to define issues and facilitate incident resolution. 

  • Implement monitoring solutions for charging systems to maintain uptime as per defined KPIs. 

  • Conduct system housekeeping activities, including log file checks and periodic clean-ups. 

  • Escalate and follow up on system health-related incidents with vendors, providing monthly health check status reports to management. 

  • Conduct feasibility checks for new services and configure new products in OCS, ensuring thorough testing prior to live implementation. 

Entry Requirements

The Person:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. 

  • Experience in telecom concepts is an advantage. 

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply.
