Description

As the Assistant Manager – Contracts, you will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, renewing, and drafting contracts and agreements that align with the business objectives of Dialog Group and Axiata Group Berhad. You will ensure legal safeguards are in place, commercial considerations are met, and the Group's operations remain compliant with relevant laws and regulations. This role also includes providing legal counsel, managing contract execution processes, supporting legal data digitization, and overseeing risk management efforts to protect the organization’s interests.

The Job

  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure clarity, completeness, and alignment with business goals.
  • Draft contracts that reflect agreed terms and comply with applicable laws.
  • Manage execution of legal documents, including obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Offer sound legal advice to internal stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Maintain and utilize digital contract management systems and other digital platforms.
  • Address risk mitigation, compliance, and data protection within contracts.
  • Align legal services with business objectives and uphold corporate ethics and values.
Entry Requirements

The Person

  • Degree in Law and/or Attorney-at-Law.
  • 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice or corporate legal functions.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and commercial transactions
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal systems and e-signature platforms is a plus.
