Job Purpose:
Responsible for workload analysis, prioritization, assignment, and coordinating NOC daily operations with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure timely attendance to network faults by adhering to operations processes and guidelines. Analyze critical and recurrent faults for the development of proactive measures.
The Job:
- Lead operations among NOC teams in different domains to troubleshoot and identify network faults. Provide necessary guidance and directions for smooth operations during network failures.
- Update relevant NOC teams regarding service interruptions due to current network faults and planned maintenance activities.
- Continuously receive updates from all teams and act as the central coordination point in NOC, making required decisions to minimize fault identification and resolution time.
- Act as a short-time shift covering person in accordance with given guidelines.
- Lead operations with DNS teams and get status updates on current network faults and planned maintenance activities.
- Escalate incidents handled by DNS to OICs & RMs depending on severity and delay to get attention.
- Ensure coordination with corresponding operations/planning divisions when handling network faults and planned maintenance activities.
- Communicate high-impact network failures and restorations to the call center and other relevant technical support teams via email.
- Communicate critical network failures to management via calls & emails and provide required status updates.
- Ensure shift lead extension/mobile numbers are always attended.
- Acquire overall knowledge of all domains of Dialog network handled by NOC.
- Stay updated with changes and share knowledge with other NOC staff.
- Develop self-competence to work with system tools used in NOC for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Ensure NOC staff adherence to predefined and communicated procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure NOC staff adherence to workplace/divisional disciplines.
- Coordinate work environment-related issues and escalate to NOC management if required.
- Hold responsibility for the restroom.
- Maintain a list of individuals attending the shift.
- Attend special tasks and projects assigned by NOC supervisors.
- Submit an incident report in the given format to NOC supervisors at the end of the shift.
