Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our Access Network Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically planning and formulating comprehensive operational and maintenance strategies to ensure the uninterrupted and high-quality performance of the entire radio access network (RAN) portfolio. The incumbent will lead network rollout delivery and service excellence by overseeing technical analysis, solution recommendations, and the high-level deployment of radio network platforms and monitoring systems.

Key focuses include developing expert resources through technical training to maximize network availability and optimized configurations. The role involves forecasting, tool requirements and implementing best-in-class processes to support sustainable growth and efficient investment. Furthermore, you will drive network quality KPIs, continuous improvements, and automation within the network’s evolution, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with Minimum Baseline Security Standards (MBSS) while spearheading future technology adoption.

The Job:

  • Manage service incidents and requests for Radio Access Network – including 2G, 4G, 5G, Fixed Broadband (FBB), Point to Point (P2P), and Point to Multi Point (P2MP) and other legacy system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex service incidents, ensuring resolution within SLA.
  • Analyze trends in service incidents to identify common network and service-related limitations and provide inputs to improve service levels.
  • Assess network impact based on fault nature, alarms from EMS, and traffic patterns.
  • Specify logs and alarms to isolate network faults and restore service with minimal duration.
  • Lead the process of solution implementation with all technical domains to ensure proper integration with monitoring systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Lead and support in evaluating technical specifications of new solutions and releases.
  • Operationalize the implementation and provisioning strategies for new services or features.
  • Prepare testing and verification procedures to ensure proper implementation network modifications without affecting existing services.
  • Maintain product and service manuals, system maintenance, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Update knowledge repository for operational and monitoring staff.
  • Deliver training programs to enhance the competency level of technical staff.
  • Specify data analysis procedures and methodologies to produce informative reports for business planning and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and document developed algorithms to convert network-related raw data into useful information.
Entry Requirements

The Person:

  • B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) degree in Engineering (accredited by IESL) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems including  mobile and fixed broadband systems, and server systems.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, programming, data analytics, and AI.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in the required field.
