Description

The Job

  • Increase acquisitions through retail channels, direct sales promotions, umbrella promotions, and events, focusing on ensuring acquisition quality by closely monitoring sales and data from the Sales Reporting Team.
  • Achieve revenue targets by maximizing retail sales and monitoring competition to secure Airtel's market share, while also focusing on market development for revenue growth.
  • Drive channel sales staff to acquire new outlets and avail the products thereby enhancing product reach & availability across the territory.
  • Managing the distributor effectively & efficiently ensuring a profitable ROI result.
  • Training, development & motivation of distributor staff.
  • Maintain the required threshold points of the Retailer Effectiveness Index (REI).
  • Retailer engagement activities to make sure that there are happy & loyal retailers on board.
  • Provide continuous & regular updates on what competitors are up to in the market.
  • Delivery of results without excuses despite gaps of perceptions vs actual situation & sheer competition choking Airtel from all directions possible.
  • Driving quality of acquisitions amidst all odds & malpractices that the telco trade has got used to over a period of time with all operators.
  • Managing the channel staff to do what Airtel wants at a level of professionalism, integrity & accuracy.
Entry Requirements

The Person

  • Full or part qualification in CIM/SLIM or an equivalent Degree or S&M qualification
  • Basic computer literacy with knowledge to operate MS Word, MS Excel & MS Power Point
  • Minimum 4+ years experience in a similar capacity
  • The candidate should be fluent in Tamil
  • Exposure to telco distribution operation or FMCG
  • Exposure to operation of channel driven sales paradigm
