Role Overview

As an Engineer – Innovation & R&D, you will play a key role in driving innovation, researching emerging technologies, and contributing to the creation of impactful products and solutions that define the future of Dialog Axiata.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on emerging ICT trends: AI, FinTech, IoT, Media, Biometrics, Blockchain, and 5G etc.
• Support the New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle — ideation, rapid prototyping, MVP creation, productization, and post-launch review.
• Collaborate with startups, universities, and research labs to co-create innovative solutions.
• Foster an internal culture of innovation by supporting hackathons, ideation sessions, and technology showcases.
• Contribute to technology architecture planning and solution design.
• Engage in "Innovation Outpost" initiatives with academic and commercial entities.
• Participate in solution engineering by identifying customer needs, designing technical solutions, and collaborating internally.
• Assist with pre-sales activities for new and innovative products: customer presentations, technical demos, and market-fit validation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• BSc. Graduate in ICT or Engineering (Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Internship or academic project experience in R&D, prototyping, or innovation is an added advantage.
• Passionate about emerging technologies and creative problem-solving.
• Knowledge in at least one area: software development, hardware prototyping, AI/ML, cloud technologies, 5G, or IoT.
• Basic understanding of Agile development and project management methodologies.
• Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• A growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
